Wednesday Link Love

Been seeing these online and was inspired to create my own. Been putting them up around town. Awesome kindness mission!

I’m in.  You?

The folks in this household love love Dutch Babies.  Well, this is a Dutch Baby kicked up a notch and with a good story to boot.  I have to try it!

I’m indebted to my friend Kevin for pointing me in Hana’s direction.  Love the Switcheraroos!

OH, how I would love to take this class!!

What a great way to bring a child’s art to life!!

Syed Javaid A. Kazi<br/>Pakistan<br/>Little Burden, Shui Tribe, China

Some beautiful images of mothers and some great reading too.

Loving this little ring, and hoping to try to make one soon.

Can’t wait to hunt down an old watch like this (thrift store?!) to make this bracelet.  Love it!

Amen to this, Sister.  This is a fundamental difference in DH and I.  He loves to have all small appliances lined up.

Sure hope I remember this site at Christmas time.  I know any number of people who would love to have that solar powered waving queen!

Does this look heavenly, or what?  I felt like I had been on a little getaway after looking at the pictures.

I always wanted to get a Wii just so that DH and I could have a weekly bowling night. This may be closer to our price range…..

I adore Bakerella, and have even more love and respect for her when I look at her year and her amazing talent and spirit.

Lovin’ this tee and the tutorial that goes with it makes it look pretty easy!

I love them all, but the tiny necklace is my fav.

Clean Mama always has a plan. I can’t seem to link to the individual day, but the January 2nd post has a plan for the whole year. Lots of other great tips and printables on her site. Enjoy!

I made these tonight, minus the sprinkles and my colors were a bit lighter. Taking them to the coffee house tomorrow night.

I love doilies. Especially around Valentines time of year.

Another homemade kitchen island idea….

A little link love, and a promise to myself

I decorated a lot this Christmas with peppermint candies- whole apothecary jars of them. When the time comes to “undecorate”, I’ve found a great little project. I tried one out tonight and it really is as easy as it sounds on this tutorial.

Not usually a map fan, but this map is just so delightful!!

Spoiler Alert: My next wedding shower? This is the gift!

I’ve just discovered Sammy and I adore his perspective on NYC.

So, I’m thinking seriously about the fresh start of a new year. This is a great tool to use for an annual assessment.

I’ve promised myself that I will return to more regular postings on this blog. Welcome to a new year!

Free printable of this great permission slip found here.

I love this! Can we start a place in Louisville?

More guerilla kindness here and here!

Some very funny then and now pictures!

Sometimes I am conflicted about the whole tiny house thing and really just want a great big craft room like Amy has.

Oh my. I do love cute food!

Check out Sara’s new bedroom. I especially like her headboard.

Someone please try this and tell me if it is even remotely good.

Great quote from Suzanne.

Check out this pizza bread! And it’s from Alison’s father-in-law!

Love these little bunnies!

So much to see in this catalog!

The girls and I have made these a few times. We call them tie dyed. They turn out really cool and are easy as can be to make.

Why, yes, I’d love a Fluffernutter cupcake, wouldn’t you?!

Love the pushups! Now, I need about 3 other folks to go in on the “hardware” for them as I sure don’t need 100 of them!

I love these paper flowers- made out of copy paper!

Aren’t these adorable? Each one is a work of art!

Fun idea! Mother’s Day is on the horizon.

Love this adorable little LITTLE house

I know I’m heavy on recipes this week, but I just keep finding good ones! Like this!

Isn’t this needle book the sweetest? Lots of great ideas over here.

If you are a Kindle user, here’s a great little spot for you to check out.

Can’t stop thinking about these! Sound mighty tasty (and mighty easy)

Check out this great party that my friend Beth threw!

I would really really like to give this a try. One of two things would have to happen. Either I would need DH to take the dogs and go somewhere for a few days, or better yet I would go somewhere and leave him to do it. I would sooo love to do something about my 80’s style cabinets.

Aren’t these adorable?!

So, which do I like most? Seattle, Halifax, or Portland?

Love these. They sort of remind me of those Reader’s Digest Christmas trees I made as a child!

Being a lover of doilies, you can imagine I love this and these.

This is one of the sweetest things I’ve read in a while. I start it on Part 4, but you can start at the beginning if you want.

Star light, star bright…..I love these little stars.

Need a break? How about a 2 minute vacation?

Cute idea, not confined to Valentines Day.

Oh so sweet and cute!

Cool idea, although I’m not sure it justifies snow…..

I’d settle for this since I don’t have the real thing.

Ah yes, the Valentines edition! So, how about this cake?!

Need a quick little treat that even the kids could help make?

Here’s a whole list of adorable free printable Valentines. One of my friends was telling me that at her kids’ school, they have to make their Valentines. Wish I had had this list to share with her earlier!

I think these are so so so cute, and if I had a printer and sticky paper, I’d be all over these.

Ohhhhhh I’m pulling out all of those old album covers! I see a family picture coming on!!

Have you seen those videos where someone takes a picture of themselves every day for a year or whatever? Here’s a fun way to make that happen, if you are so inclined.

I fantasize about having a kitchen like this. I want all drawers and no more deep unusable cabinets!

I wish this shed was in my back yard. Instead of the shed we have- filled with lawnmower and tools and bike parts and paint cans…

Fun little game to play if you plan to host an Oscar Party this year.

What a pretty table these would make!!!

Joanne has the sweetest blog called The Simple Wife. One month ago, this beautiful young mother had a massive stroke. Her husband has been faithful to keep her blog going, many have been faithful in prayer for her, and she has been faithful in pushing herself further than they even thought she could. Can you imagine how Joanne must feel when she wakes up to this room? What wonderful friends and family she has to fill her room with so much love! Will you pray for Joanne?

a string of positivity no. 8

I think I need a String of Positivity in my office for the new year!

I’ve mentioned before- getting to sleep is often a battle for me, and I have to use little “visualizations” at times to get there. One of my favorites is to imagine myself being pulled along in a horse drawn sled in the dark. So, you can imagine that this destination sounds like a fun night.

Several of her top ten have made it into the rotation in our meal plan. Those brown butter and sea salt rice krispy treats are amazing!

I admit it. I’m a TED Head. Never heard one I didn’t learn something from! So, other TED heads will love this. Good to keep handy. Maybe someday I’ll give a TED talk!

Lucky Sara’s mom!

I find seeing other folks Before and After pictures inspiring. Not inspiring enough so far to do anything, but still very inspiring.

This blog never fails to make me laugh out loud. Peruse some of their entries on a gray day!

Cute idea!

I love these women, and they make me feel brave enough to try all kinds of things. This is simple, and really really good!

Now these are some gingerbread houses!!

Somewhere, there is someone just waiting to be Cliff’s mom. I’m praying for her.

I LOVE these wedding pictures. I found them via a link from a magazine blog, and then discovered they were right her in my hometown by a hometown photographer.

I’ve been a follower of Edie’s blog for a long time, always loving the pictures of her beautiful home and her sweet spirit. She has been on my mind so so much over this past week. Reading her post tonight, I am so touched by her honesty and her strength.

Aren’t these beautiful? And don’t they look easy to make?

Is it just me, or does this look like about the last place someone would want to go on vacation? Ask me how I feel about it in August though! By then, it’s going to look so so cozy and fun!

This post is great, not just because of the great Ben Sollee in the background, but because I have thought several times today about little Nella waving at her shadow! Love it!

The other, less documented, view of a Disney vacation!

Now, here’s a bomb I could learn to love. I’m liking color this week- can you tell?

Looking for some memorable ideas for your Christmas table? Check out my friend Kim’s site.

Oh my! I love this mobile!

This could be the year I finally remember to try my hand at ice lanterns.

Check out the cool stuff on my friend’s new site.

I think these dolls are ADORABLE. Especially by the armload!

Some great little diy hanging lights.

Cute and easy!

Seed catalogs started showing up this week, and then this. Come on Spring!

I’d like to share a meal at the Little Round Table!

I’m thinking these are pretty cool.

Any way you could NOT be happy nestled under this quilt? (While settling into this bed!)

I like this. So simple.

Ornaments of tiny houses? Why YES! And some little trees to go with them.

Head over to Party Wishes and check out these gorgeous crowns. For those days when you’re feeling a bit regal.

Love the concept. Love this family. Double love Yoda!!!

These are so sweet and so springy.

We truly fell in love with little Sol. What a sweet tribute.

Seeing as how WELCOME is my word for this year, I really think I need want badly to have this wreath.

A nice little read for those of us who enjoy cooking.

I started out with the best of intentions to join Amy in her 39 squares project. I have done exactly…….one.

The folks at Kind Over Matter pretty much make me feel rich about 4 or 5 times a day!

There is an adorable free printable here, and I think others on that site but it’s all in French so I’m not sure.

Antique Mommy has a great little article about the loss of a cultural icon- dropping by for coffee.

If you need to create a story board or to illustrate a brainstorming session, this is just for you.

Love this quilt.

Fun little wreath!

These roads are too cool! What a great idea!

More chalkboard paint! I love it!

So simple, so fun!

Loving these poppies. Well, loving anything that offers more hope than piles of really dirty snow!

I once happened upon a huge box of old slides at the thrift store and have kicked myself a zillion times for not buying them and giving them a good home. Could have made these curtains!

Well, if you’ve been around here long, you know I love all things granny square, blackboard paint, and tiny house-ish…so have a look here and here and here and here and here .

Short list this week- I’ve been watching a LOT of Olympics!

001

Just put this up tonight, waiting for some little friends to visit so we can mark their names on our giant tape measure. Want one?

Go ahead and make a file for next years Valentines- or maybe you can think of fun ways to use this or this for some other occasion.

Check out this great stamp in Amy’s shop.

If you make these for someone you love, do you think they will ever ever forget the day you did and served them up?

Darn, I wish I had had this recipe on World Nutella Day!

Aren’t these great?! Could they be any simpler?

My son is traveling with these guys over spring break to do service projects and some concerts

I see some cherry blossom garland in my future!

Today is the birthday of my dear friend Beth. Beth is truly one of the brightest most energetic and creative people I’ve ever known. She has been my encourager, my muse, and she is who I want to be when I grow up. Happy Birthday Beth!

I love every quilt in this post, but I love this one the most- and she found it at a thrift store! Why can’t I find something like this at my thrift store?!

Katie knows how to make a great Valentine!

Chalkboard paint…….again. I just love that stuff!

I’m not saying that I could make it, but it does look like an

easy knock-off.

I’m a sucker for tags. That said, I’m loving this LOVE set.

If only I had seen these back in the years when I always went to an Oscar party.

Antique Mommy has this lovely post. Check it out!

It’s not too late to whip up one of these!

So, now I’ve got to get more sucker sticks……

And some green tomato jelly…..

Oh my, this looks like a good cure for the February blues!

A sweet message for moms and daughters…..

Oh, tiny houses!

I am so in love with this chair!

My continuing love affair with buttons…

I love every one of the three rings in this post!

And I love this sweet love story…

Allison is giving something very cool away and you really need to have a look and leave her a comment. And while you are there, you will fall in love with her and her sweet blog.

Love this! I hope to get my Valentines decorations out this weekend….

I loved this MISSION.  Had hoped K and I might do a few spots this week, but alas we never got around to it…be sure to check out the video.

Ackkkkkkk   How adorable are these?!!

I’d share a room with Hagen, wouldn’t you?

Made these this weekend.  They were as easy as they sound and more delicious than I expected!  K is going to make them for a kiddos party she’s hosting on Friday.

Gotta try these.  I’m wondering if they would be too wobbly to sit up and act right.  Well, worth a try.  Next time we eat 6 oranges at the same time, I’ll whip some up.

Yep, got to give this a try.  There is always a nice selection of rusty cookie sheets at my favorite thrift store.  Used to be a nice selection of them here until my mother gave me nice new ones.

I’m not even sure how I found my way to this blog, but it’s lovely if you love books.

OH, how beautiful are these?!

There are so many beautiful images here.  I added one of mine (brandon6)

Not that I would ever go to this much trouble, but someone like my friend Beth might.

Some absolutely beautiful images of Haitians taken in a happier time.

Fun story from my friend Suzanne.
