I Will Not Die an Unlived LIfe

Another poem shared with me by Karen Thomas Smith. I'm so grateful for the way facebook has kept me linked with Karen's life in Morroco, and our lives linked with hers.
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.

There you go again, making my day better with a poem. Does Karen Thomas Smith have a blog? Did you know that back in my younger life I visited Morroco? In the 70's.

Lovely, thanks for posting. I've always wanted to go to Morroco. Isn't it nice to have faraway friends-so close.
