Around a Bowl of Fire

firebowl

Tonight was the night!  My first fire in my fire bowl.   DH and I settled all of the world’s problems, and then he left me to my own musings.  After I re-designed my kitchen, I pondered mysteries.    Made me think of this-

Mysteries, Yes

Truly, we live with mysteries too marvelous
to be understood.

How grass can be nourishing in the
mouths of the lambs.
How rivers and stones are forever
in allegiance with gravity
while we ourselves dream of rising.
How two hands touch and the bonds
will never be broken.
How people come, from delight or the
scars of damage,
to the comfort of a poem.

Let me keep my distance, always, from those
who think they have the answers.

Let me keep company always with those who say
"Look!" and laugh in astonishment,
and bow their heads.

Glad that you got the kitchen redesigned while sitting at the fire bowl. Nice photo.

Mary Oliver....luved reading her words this morning. I don't mind people who think they have all that answers, as long as they don't expect me to always agree.

I look forward to all of the musings that come from sitting around your fire bowl this fall. May you discover many wonders. Enjoy!
